Upendo wa Mama means “Mother’s Love” in Swahili. We are a support and income-generating group of Tanzanian women who have albinism or have children with albinism.
We specialise in making beautiful beeswax products, using local beeswax from beekeepers in the Mwanza region on Lake Victoria.
Life for mothers in Tanzania who have birthed children with albinism, has been one of fear, rejection, abuse and even killing. Upendo wa Mama was formed to help us support one another and provide for our children. Thank you for helping us!
Please follow us on Instagram and Facebook! Share us with your friends! And enjoy our beautiful beeswax products!
